WATA Member Event Posting Criteria

  • Eligibility: ONLY paid WATA members are eligible to submit events. Events from non-members will not be published.
  • Content Focus: Events must be directly related to agricultural tourism, such as farm tours, on-farm markets, harvest festivals, or workshops, and promote the education or enjoyment of agriculture.
  • Occurrence Limit: Recurring events are strictly limited to a maximum of 6 occurrences per event submission to maintain variety and relevance on the calendar.
  • Submission & Review:
    • Timeline: Please allow up to 3 business days for the review and publication process.
    • Information Required: Submissions must include a clear, specific title, detailed description, exact dates/times, and a location with a link to a website or social media page.
    • Image Guidelines: High-quality photos or graphics are accepted (JPG preferred) and should be 767px by 431px to fit platform standards.
  • Final Approval: All submissions are subject to final approval by the WATA Board of Directors. 

Recommended Social Media Best Practices (For Members)

  • Tagging: Always tag the Wisconsin Agricultural Tourism Association to ensure visibility.
  • Authenticity: Use real, high-quality photos from your farm rather than stock photos.
  • Engagement: Respond to comments and shares to increase engagement in the local ag-tourism community.
